Fresh from Wednesday’s late 4-3 win at Sussex rivals Lewes, Adam Hinshelwood’s side are full of confidence going into the game, one that nets the winners £15,000 and a place in the 4th Qualifying Round which brings in the National League sides.
Hinshelwood is expecting a tough game from their Southern League opponents and knows the Mackerel Men will have to perform to the same level they showed in midweek.
‘Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to have them watched since the draw, but we do know they will press us, be in our faces and give us a real physical battle. I do know some of their players and we will have to be at our very best to make sure we are in the hat for the next round at the end of the game.’
‘It’s certainly a very tricky tie and will be a very good win if we get it, one thing’s for sure we are prepared as we can be and ready for them.’
‘We had the players in for a session last night, brought in another physio and some yoga as well, very much needed after Wednesday night’s exertions!’
Will Miles will be missing due to suspension, but Hinshelwood is hopeful one or two of his injured trio, Aarran Racine, Alfie Young and Ross Edwards, will be fit to return.
The match at the Moneyfields Sports Ground kicks off at 3pm. Admission prices are £8 Adults and £4 Concessions.
