The versatile Jess Richardson joins the Rebels ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Richardson started her career at Sussex side Lewes as part of their Foundation Squad for a season. After just one season, Jess moved up the ranks into Lewes’ Development Squad, where she continued to develop her talents.
Jess arrives at Woodside with a versatile skill set, capable of playing multiple roles as both a full-back and a winger.
When jess came into the team I saw she can give us something different! She is quick and she listens! Is trying to get all the information she can it will give us a lot as full back and she can also play higher so is very good to have her!

Following her time at Lewes, Jess moved to Saltdean United, where she spent a season further refining her game. Richardson only spent a single season with the Tigers before embarking on her next journey.
Jess switched the South for the North, moving to Newcastle to further her education at Northumbria University, where she was part of the university squad for three years.
During her time in the North, Richardson continued to develop her game outside of university. She joined Gateshead FC, where she played for 2 1/2 seasons, making 35 appearances and scoring 30 goals.
After her time at Gateshead, Jess moved to Ponteland United Women, where she made five appearances and scored five goals before moving back down South to the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
She commented “Really pleased to have signed for Worthing and to be part of this squad. I’m excited to see what the season ahead holds and grow into the team along the way”
