A lot of change has happened at Worthing since the last time these two sides met back in April. From Chris Agutter’s appointment back in May as well as a number of new players signing over the summer and, of course, the new North Stand has been built and will be ready for its first opening this Saturday.

The Rebels closed out September with a win against Dartford in the Emirates FA Cup after a brace from Danny Cashman and a single strike from Tommy Willard helped them to a 3-1 win. The result also meant that Agutter’s side went unbeaten throughout the month, with three wins and two draws in the process.

As they return to National League South action, the Rebels do so having gone unbeaten in their last four outings in the division, though their recent draw at Weymouth left Agutter frustrated with the performance which they will be looking to put right tomorrow afternoon.

Team News

Other than Cameron Tutt, Agutter has a fully fit squad to choose from for tomorrow’s match. The squad was boosted by the return of captain Joel Colbran last weekend, while Sam Beard and Nicky Wheeler have both returned to full training this week.

View from the Camp – Aarran Racine

“We’re looking good and we’ve got a fully fit squad which is a big positive and we’re coming into this one off the back of some better performances and some good results.

“After going unbeaten last month, we’re looking to carry on that form and improve even more.

“We’ve looked at Maidstone and not much has changed from last season, so we’re expecting a similar style of play. Ultimately, it’s about us and if we turn up, we know we’re good enough to get three points”.

The Opposition

After an opening day victory against St Albans City, the Stones had a six-game winless run which included a 5-1 defeat at home to Chelmsford City last month. Since then, they’ve turned their fortunes around and come into Saturday’s match off the back of four matches unbeaten.

Last time out, they booked their place in the Fourth Round Qualifying of the FA Cup, with a 1-0 win away at Herne Bay. Recent results in the National League South saw them earn all three points at home to Enfield Town and share the points more recently against Chesham United in a 2-2 draw.

Last Six
28/09 – Herne Bay (A) – Won 0-1 (Emirates FA Cup)
21/09 – Chesham United (H) – Drew 2-2
14/09 – Hampton & Richmond Borough (H) – Won 2-1 (Emirates FA Cup)
07/09 – Enfield Town (A) – Won 1-4
03/09 – Chelmsford City (H) – Lost 1-5
31/08 – Boreham Wood (A) – Drew 1-1
