Chris Agutter’s side have been on a good run of late, having won four matches in succession in all competitions. They beat Tonbridge Angels 3-2 on the weekend to make it back-to-back wins in the National League South, following on from their win against Welling United a fortnight ago.

Alfie Young, Muhammadu Faal and Nicky Wheeler scored the goals as the Rebels picked up a deserved three points at home against the Angels. Faal’s goal was his fourth in just three games as he continues his scoring streak.

The result means that Worthing now sit 10th in the National League South and with a win at Plainmoor tonight, they would go within three points of league leaders Farnborough.

Team News

Sam Beard missed Saturday’s match through suspension but he is back and available for selection tonight.

Jack Wadham and Joe Cook are both doubts for the Rebels tonight. Wadham missed Saturday’s match against Tonbridge Angels with a knee injury and will need to be reassessed for tonight’s match, while Cook went off injured late on during the Tonbridge match on the weekend.

The Opposition

The Gulls are two points ahead of Worthing in the league table and currently sit in 6th place.

Tonight is their first home game in over a month, having played just twice since their last home game against St Albans City on 21st September. They’ve picked up four points in those two matches, winning at Hampton & Richmond Borough at the start of the month, before earning a point at Eastbourne Borough this past weekend.
