Young Players Code of Conduct
Worthing FC share and encourage the FA’s Code of Respect, we believe that we all have the responsibility to promote the highest standards of behaviour. Young players have a significant role to play in this. All young players should follow this code of conduct and treat your team, other players, and match officials with Respect.
Young Players:
When playing football, I will:
- Always play my best for the benefit of the team.
- Play fairly and always show respect to everyone involved in the game.
- Play by the rules and respect the Referee.
- Shake hands with the other team – win or lose.
- Listen carefully to what my coach tells me.
- Understand that the coach must do what is best for the team.
- Talk to someone I trust or the Club Welfare Officer if I’m unhappy about things at the club.
- Encourage my teammates.
- Respect the facilities home and way.
I understand that if I do not follow the code, I may:
- Be asked to apologise to whoever I’ve upset.
- Receive a formal warning.
- Be dropped, substituted, or suspended from training.
- Be asked to leave the club.
