Worthing FC share and encourage the FA’s Code of Respect, we believe that we all have the responsibility to promote the highest standards of behaviour. Young players have a significant role to play in this. All young players should follow this code of conduct and treat your team, other players, and match officials with Respect.

Young Players:

When playing football, I will:

  • Always play my best for the benefit of the team.
  • Play fairly and always show respect to everyone involved in the game.
  • Play by the rules and respect the Referee.
  • Shake hands with the other team – win or lose.
  • Listen carefully to what my coach tells me.
  • Understand that the coach must do what is best for the team.
  • Talk to someone I trust or the Club Welfare Officer if I’m unhappy about things at the club.
  • Encourage my teammates.
  • Respect the facilities home and way.

I understand that if I do not follow the code, I may:

  • Be asked to apologise to whoever I’ve upset.
  • Receive a formal warning.
  • Be dropped, substituted, or suspended from training.
  • Be asked to leave the club.
