The Rebels play their second cup match in just a few days tonight, after Saturday’s win in the Isuzu FA Trophy over Chichester City at Oaklands Park.
The Lillywhites scored the opening goal some 20 minutes into the entertaining contest, but Mo Faal scored his seventh goal in Worthing colours to hit back on the half-hour mark.
After the break, the Rebels were in control and got themselves in front through their captain Joel Colbran, who volleyed in from Danny Cashman’s corner. But, with ten minutes to go, Chi got back on level terms through Emmett Dunn as the hosts scored from a corner of their own.
As the contest looked set to be heading for a penalty shootout, the Reds found a way through via Cashman who worked an opportunity for himself on the edge of the area with his quick feet, before burying it into the bottom left corner for victory.
Team News
Despite serving a four-match suspension for his red card against Chesham United, Glen Rea will be available for selection tonight because County Cups cannot be used towards the completion of his ban.
View from the Camp – Chris Agutter
“As an attacking unit, we were pretty happy with what we saw on Saturday, we created lots of good chances and scored another three goals which is always positive!
“We just need to tidy things up in deeper areas because if we do, we can get the ball to our forward players with more quality, more consistently and that will only help us score more goals.
“It’s important for us to keep building momentum as we continue our Sussex Senior Cup campaign this evening. We want to keep winning games and we’ll pick a strong team tonight to do just that.”

Having played 16 games so far this season, United sit 10th in the Southern Combination Premier with 23 points.
