The Rebels’ fine run of form continued on Tuesday night as they came from behind to beat title rivals Boreham Wood at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
Chris Agutter’s side fell behind in the early stages, as the league’s top-scorer Kwesi Appiah poked home for the visitors. But, the turning point came on the half hour mark, when Chris Bush was sent off for pushing Mo Faal into the advertising boards. That set up the Rebels for a second half comeback, which saw goals from Joel Colbran and Ruben Carvalho secure an important three points to take Worthing top of the National League South for the first time this season.
Last time out in the Isuzu FA Trophy, the Rebels were undeniably fortunate to be playing in the Fourth Round, having been reinstated into the competition. But, they took full advantage of their good fortune to demolish Torquay United 5-1.

Odei Martin Sorondo is cup-tied for tomorrow’s match, but Ruben Carvalho is available for selection.
View from the Camp – Chris Agutter
“Tuesday night was really positive. It was a really positive night both on and off the pitch with the support we had. I thought we were pretty dominant 11v11, creating chances and putting them under pressure. I thought we were a real threat and we negated a lot of their threat, so it was a really good win.
“I just want to win every game, regardless of the competition we’re playing in. We want to go as far as possible in the competition, we want to test ourselves against a very good National League side. If we can produce a level of performance that we did against Morecambe and that we have done of late, I think it should be a really good game.
