After joining the Club at the start of last season, Arthur became one of the influential figures in our hugely successful U18s side.

The teenager netted the winner in the Isthmian League Cup Final away to Camberley Town with a rasping effort from range, which clinched a league and cup double for the young Rebels.

Arthur played a crucial part across the Isthmian Youth League, Isthmian League Final and the Isthmian Youth League Champions of Champions competitions as the Club claimed a historic treble.

The defender also trained with the First-Team on a regular basis, with Chris Agutter handing him his senior debut in the second round of the Sussex Senior Cup last October. The Rebels recorded a 3-1 victory away to East Preston that night, with Arthur completing the full 90 minutes.

He would go on to make a further appearance in that competition as a substitute, as he played the entire second half of the 5-0 demolition of Eastbourne United in the next round. Arthur was also an unused substitute in our Isuzu FA Trophy ties against Chichester City and Gosport Borough.

Milestones kept occurring for the promising talent, as he made his National League South debut in the slender away defeat to Farnborough – coming on in the dying embers in place of Danny Cashman. Two more league appearances would follow in the 3-0 wins over Weston-super-Mare and Chesham.

The talented prospect joins the long list of players that have moved to an EFL outfit in recent years, having developed their skills at Woodside Road.

Arthur departs the Club with the absolute best wishes from everyone connected with Worthing Football Club.

Good luck for the future, Arthur!
