Mick has been a constant presence behind the scenes, quietly ensuring that the playing surface at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium has remained in top condition season after season.

His work has gone far beyond just keeping the pitch pristine. Mick has been a cornerstone of our community, embodying the spirit of dedication and pride that makes our Club so special.

Without his consistent efforts, matchdays wouldn’t have run so smoothly, nor would our teams have had such a quality surface to train and compete on. Mick’s departure marks the end of an era – and his boots will be hard to fill.

With that said, we now have a unique opportunity for someone to carry on Mick’s incredible legacy. Worthing FC is looking for a new pitch maintenance volunteer to join our team.

This is a hands-on role that’s perfect for someone who loves football, enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in making a visible impact at the heart of the Club. No prior experience is required – just a willingness to learn and a commitment to the role.
