A technically gifted midfielder, Sophia joins Jesus Cordon’s side after a spell abroad in America.

Prior to her experience in the States, the midfielder was on the books at Brighton & Hove Albion. Our newest recruit was a highly-rated talent in the Seagulls’ youth set-up and represented the club from the U16s all the way through to the U23’s side.

Sophia has just returned from a four year stint at Rogers State University in Oklahoma, where she played football alongside her studies.

Sophia can be characterised as a committed, energetic and combative midfielder, who will add plenty of quality to the side as they prepare for their FA Women’s National League Division One South West opener away to Portishead Town on the 17th August.

“I’m happy to be back playing in England at a level that can test me,” Sophia told the Club.

“I’m excited for the season to start and to help the team achieve success this season.”

On his sixth signing of the summer, Manager Jesus Cordon said: “Sophia is coming back after a great experience in America and is going to give us the strength and quality we need in midfield.

“She is a fantastic addition and I am sure with a bit of time she will become one of the leaders in this team.”

Welcome to Worthing, Sophia!
