Tuesday night’s encounter is the the only fixture taking place in the NLS tomorrow, with Maidenhead’s progression through the Berks and Bucks County Cup resulting in their league match with Ebbsfleet being postponed.
The overriding feeling at Weston-super-Mare is one of jubilation as they enjoyed an unprecedented weekend. A brace from Louis Britton away to Chelmsford secured their passage into the third round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time in their history on Saturday afternoon. The Seagulls will be keeping a keen eye on tonight’s draw with the prospect of facing a Premier League giant a plausible possibility.
Meanwhile, tomorrow night’s visitors make the trip off the back of a hard-fought victory away to former National League outfit Ebbsfleet United on the weekend. Brad Dolaghan scored his 14th league goal of the season to put his side in front before Razzaq Coleman De-Graft emphatically converted a spot-kick in stoppage-time to double the advantage. Ebbsfleet pulled one goal back through Dom Samuel, but the strike from distance proved to be merely a consolation as the Reds took all three points back to West Sussex.
Results elsewhere in the league resulted in Worthing jumping into second spot, with Torquay United and Hornchurch both falling to rare defeats. December started in a positive manner, with Adam Hinshelwood and his players hoping that success continues in Somerset on Tuesday night.
THE OPPOSITION
Weston-super-Mare have admirably dealt with adversity this season and find themselves as one of the early pacesetters in the league.

After a strong start to the season, long-serving manager Scott Davies was poached by National League side Eastleigh in September, leaving Weston in a predicament.
However, Davies’ successor – former assistant and namesake Scott Rogers – has continued the work of his former colleague and results haven’t plateaued.
Alongside their historic FA Cup run that has seen the group of players etch their names into the club’s history books, they have also took the National League South by storm.
An opening day defeat to Hornchurch was followed up with nine victories out of 10 league matches, including accomplished wins over Maidstone United and Dagenham & Redbridge. Only Dorking and Torquay boast a better home record in the division, as Weston-super-Mare have only lost once at home all season.
Since their promotion into the sixth tier in 2023, the team hailing from the Optima Stadium have steadily improved year on year. They narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season by four points and will be attempting to go one better this year by finishing in the coveted top seven.
THE GAFFER
The aforementioned Scott Rogers has seamlessly transitioned from assistant manager into the proverbial managerial hotseat in recent times. The 46-year-old was handed the role following Scott Davies’ departure in late September, and has ensured the environment has remained cohesive to success.

Under his stewardship, the Seagulls have effectively navigated First and Second Round Proper FA Cup ties against Aldershot Town and Chelmsford, while maintaining a high level of results in the league.
Previously, Rogers managed Tiverton Town, before joining Weston as Assistant in 2023. He also has experience as a player-manager at Willand Rovers during the twilight of his playing career.
The Weston gaffer is more than familiar with his current surroundings, having donned the black and white shirt in 2006 as a player. Rogers also appeared for Forest Green Rovers Bath City, Newport County and Tiverton, where he scored the only goal in the 1999 FA Vase Final, the penultimate final played at the old Wembley Stadium.
ONE TO WATCH
Louis Britton was the hero for Weston-super-Mare on the weekend, as a devastating brace helped the Seagulls through to the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup at the expense of Chelsmford City.
Two goals for the striker took his tally to 16 for the season – with five of those being scored in the oldest cup competition on the globe.
Britton is joint third in the race for the NLS Golden Boot with 11 strikes this season so far, and the 24-year-old trails Torquay’s Jordan Young (12) and our very own Brad Dolaghan (14).
The striker’s form was recognised by the league back in August, as he was the first recipient of the Player of the Month award in the 2025/26 season.

Despite his relatively tender years, Weston’s focal point can already be considered a journeyman.
Britton has appeared for a staggering 16 clubs within eight years, including stints in Ireland with Cork City and Waterford FC.
The 6’3 target man was on the books at Bristol City’s academy and enjoyed loan spells at Bath City, Stockport, Yeovil and Woking.
