Supporters will be aware that Wills failed to feature in pre-season despite the announcement that an agreement in principal had been reached with the National League club.
Following a number of injuries to their squad Wanderers informed the club of their intention to recall Wills before he was able to get going in his second spell at Woodside Road.
A formal announcement was delayed as the situation was being constantly monitored by both parties however on the eve of the new season we can confirm Wills will not feature for the Mackerel Men this season.
Despite Ricky Aguiar departing for Swindon Town in the week boss Adam Hinshelwood is content with his midfield options: “I’m happy with the squad in midfield and elsewhere”.
“We have a good number of players who can play in different positions, and we have a lot of good young players who we know will be pushing the more established guys for places in the team.”
