  • Kit and Equipment Manager

    Worthing Football Club are seeking a volunteer Kit and Equipment Manager.

    Location Sussex Transport Community Stadium and remote
    Reports to Football Director
    Salary Voluntary + Expenses

    The Role

    The candidate must be well-organised and have the ability to plan ahead. We are looking for someone with the capacity and flexibility to cope with occasional fixture changes.

    This is a key position within the football operations and you will work closely with the coaching staff both in the build-up to matches and on the day itself. You will take the lead in preparing the dressing room for the Men’s team for all matches which includes travelling to away fixtures.

    You will also manage our Kit Assistants to ensure kit and equipment is organised for our Women’s team and Youth teams.

    This is a voluntary role so a passion for the sport is essential. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the kit room ensuring the match day kit and training equipment is maintained to the highest possible standard.
    • Work closely with the Assistant Kit and Equipment Manager to ensure the kit and equipment are organised and prepared for all teams.
    • During the closed season, liaise with the manager to compile future kit requirements and assist the club secretary with orders.
    • Ensure the home kit is laundered and prepared for all home matches.
    • In discussion with the Manager and Football Director, agree match kit for away fixtures and ensure it is prepared and transported to the venue in good time.
    • For all matches prepare the dressing room laying out the kit, fluids and supplements.
    • Assist the management team in setting up the pitch for the pre-match warm-up as required.
    • Post-match ensure all kit is mustered and returned to the kit room, identifying any missing damaged items for replacement, and plan kit preparation for the next fixture.
    • To maintain a checklist of all kit & equipment requirements for home and away matches
    • To assist the Sports Science and Medical departments with storage and inventory

  • Assistant Kit & Equipment Manager

    Worthing Football Club are seeking a volunteer Assistant Kit & Equipment Manager.

    Reports to Football Director and Kit Manager

    Responsibilities

    • To assist the Kit Manager in ensuring all teams within the club are supplied with the required kit and equipment for both training and matches.
    • To maintain a checklist of all kit & equipment requirements for home and away matches
    • To assist the Sports Science and Medical departments with storage and inventory

  • Lead Sports Therapist

    Worthing Football Club are looking to fill the part time role of Lead Physiotherapist.

    Location Sussex Transport Community Stadium and remote
    Reports to Football Director
    Salary Competitive depending on experience

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide medical management of the Men’s Senior players for all training sessions and games.
    • Provide the coaching staff with regular progress reports for all players and update their availability for training and matches.
    • Work alongside the S+C coach to oversee player recovery, workloads, and overall conditioning.
    • Assist in the designing, implementing, and managing the physical screening and injury prevention programme
    • Oversee player workload management
    • Conduct pre-season medical screening for all first team players.
    • Order science and medicine supplies and keep track of medical expenses.
    • Provide in service medical training to students, coaches and other members of staff.
    • Ensure player medical information is up to date

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
    • FA Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMIF)
    • Minimum 2 years experience of working within a sporting environment
    • Minimum 2 years experience of working pitch side/Match day in a sporting environment

  • Women’s Team Manager

    Worthing Football Club are searching for a new Manager for their Women’s Team.

    Location Sussex Transport Community Stadium and remote
    Reports to Football Director
    Salary Voluntary + Expenses

    The Role

    To manage all on-field football activities for the Women’s first team to ensure that all players and staff are provided with coaching and support to enable them to compete and perform at the highest level.

    Responsibilities

    • To plan, deliver, and review all training sessions and fixtures for the Women’s Team
    • To ensure the team is high performing and has the desire to succeed to their full potential
    • Ensure the coaching programme is of high standard
    • To be an ambassador for the Club and the women’s game.
    • To assist in enhancing the women’s game within the Club and across the League
    • To monitor and evaluate player and coach performance

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Proven experience of working within a managerial football position
    • Previous experience of delivering strong performance and results
    • Excellent understanding of the Women’s game
    • Experience and understanding of player welfare
    • Proven experience of strong leadership skills
    • Experience managing and mentoring coaches 

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of UEFA ‘C’ Licence
    • Safeguarding Qualification / Certificate
    • Emergency First Aid Certificate

  • Strength & Conditioning Coach

    Worthing Football Club are seeking a part time Strength & Conditioning Coach to join the club’s backroom staff.

    Location Sussex Transport Community Stadium and remote
    Reports to Football Director
    Salary Competitive depending on experience

    The Role

    The role is to provide Worthing FC players with Strength & Conditioning services to help enhance performance and squad availability. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and driven individual who can work collaboratively and holds strong values and demonstrates high standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver a Strength & Conditioning (S&C) programme that reflects best practice and scientific principles in order to maximise player development & performance.
    • Provide technical S&C support, broadening the club’s knowledge and understanding of S&C practice
    • Provide S&C support to all first team players on training and match days, both home and away
    • Provide S&C support to the rehabilitation process in line with the requirements of the Medical team
    • Identify and facilitate appropriate communication methods to explain the most effective use of S&C practice
    • Provide updates on player progress as required
    • Maintain a comprehensive, indexed database of work conducted
    • Work within the rules of professional confidentiality and follow the UKSCA code of conduct, standards and guidelines

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Essential

    • Experience of training/rehabilitation principles and a sound understanding of rehabilitation process.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with players and coaches in a professional manner.
    • Demonstrate consistent leadership and management skills.
    • Ability to work in a high pressurised environment with a flexible approach to working hours and job role.
    • Attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
    • Adaptability to changing environment at short notice.
    • Ability to set and maintain high personal and professional standards.
    • Evidence of being a strong team player.

    Desirable 

    • UKSCA Accredited or working towards
    • First aid trained.
    • Experience working in sports setting.
