New in 2024, ‘Haighy’ moves across from Ebbsfleet United where he won National League South promotion in 2023, twice! Firstly, as a champion with his parent club, then when he joined eventual Play-Off winners Oxford City on an emergency loan for the final month of that term, helping them to move up a division too! That temporary transfer extended into ‘23-’24.
Started out as a young hopeful at Watford before embarking on a somewhat nomadic career that took in stops at Northwood, Braintree Town, Merstham, East Grinstead United, Maldon & Tiptree and Heybridge Swifts, picking up their Player of the Year award as they won the Isthmian North Play-Offs in 2018/19. That earned him a move up to Step 2 Concord Rangers and saw more honours come his way in the shape of 2021’s FA Trophy final; turning in a Man of the Match display as the Beachboys were edged out by then newly-promoted League Two side Harrogate Town.
Goalkeeper Chris Haigh will leave the club following the expiration of his contact.
Watch as Wills, Haigh, Wheeler and Cook dish the dirt on their teammates.
