Danny Cashman

Biography

Now going by his actual name after officially being referred to as
a trialist in the Summer of 2021, around the time he was released by Brighton. Signed for the Albion as a twelve-year-old and rose through the age groups – proudly wearing the Captain’s armband for the under 18s – to eventually reach the under 23s, appearing in the Checkatrade Trophy versus MK Dons and bagging the winner in a defeat of Manchester City’s second string too. Scored in wins over now league rivals Tonbridge Angels and Welling United during a hugely impressive Woodside spell that saw him snapped up by Coventry City. Loan periods at then and still League Two Rochdale and Walsall respectively led to his Football League debut, followed by his first pro goal in an EFL Cup victory against Shrewsbury Town. A third and final temporary move to National League Altrincham preceded an eventual mutual termination of his
contract at ‘Cov’ and a return to familiar surroundings at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium. Ironically made his permanent bow for us at home to Welling on September 5th.
