Biography

Moved South from Hornchurch, where he was their leading scorer this term, amid a more than four-year spell that brought big rewards. A goal-scoring ratio of better than one-in-two games included one in the 2021 FA Trophy Final, which culminated in a winner’s medal for the diminutive front man. Bagging a total of seven on that successful run, ‘Nashy’ was Supporter’s Player of the Year in 2023, then an Isthmian Prem Champion in 2024.

Ran out for Essex clubs Hullbridge Sports, Billericay Town, Great Wakering Rovers and Aveley before hitting his straps at another, Maldon & Tiptree, where 36 goals in 47 games earned him a pro move to Gillingham in 2017. Temporary travels to Leatherhead, Dulwich Hamlet and Concord Rangers preceded a transfer to the Emerald Isle and a move to Cork City two years further on.

Hemel Hempstead Town and Dartford were his next Ports of call until an opportunity to return overseas presented itself and he duly signed for Boca Gibraltar in 2020. Ten goals in just four pre-season friendlies though weren’t enough for Liam to resist the somewhat cooler climes of good old Blighty.

His Worthing career got off to the best possible start courtesy of a late debut winner at Tonbridge Angels, quickly succeeded by another strike on his home bow against Torquay United, seventy-two hours later.
