Biography

After tormenting us for the last few years for a variety of clubs, this former foe but now friend put all that firmly behind him by bagging a late winner against one of those teams, Havant & Waterlooville, to see us through to the the third qualifying round of the 2024-25 FA Cup. Coinciding with his debut that sunny September day, just hours since signing from Crawley Town, whom he’d only joined in the Summer from the aforementioned H & W. Although he’d ended the preceding campaign on loan at Maidstone United, where he’d suffered the opposite feeling of losing to an equally late winner in the Play-Off semi-final at Woodside.

Particularly prolific with both Havant (28 goals in 66 apps) and Enfield Town (55 in 66 over two spells), Mo returned to the latter after his first period at the now Dave Bryant Stadium had earned him a move to Bolton Wanderers. Finding chances hard to come by, a twenty game temporary move to Barnet brought his time in the Football League to a brief end. While Wanderers were promoted to League One during his short stay with them, Mo regained his appetite and goalscoring form in another part of North London.

Born in Hackney but eligible to play for Gambia, he started out in Hertfordshire at Boreham Wood and completed a scholarship there prior to moving to Italian sides L’Aquila and San Gregorio. The latter temporarily. Back in England, a single game turn out for Waltham Forest led to a term at Dulwich Hamlet then a loan-turned-permanent transfer to Kingsonian, before hitting his first hot streak at Enfield Town.
