Biography

Playing under the moniker of ‘trialist’ when making his debut away to Brighton & Hove Albion U21s in early July, this Basque Country native also announced his (secret) arrival with a goal. Climbing off the bench to round off the scoring in a 4-0 win.

Kept it local when first pulling on a pair of boots by turning out for his local side Real Union Irun at under nineteen level. Left the town of his birth for Indartsu three years later, before arriving on these shores, twelve months after compatriot Luque, at Heybridge Swifts.

Rose up the ranks to National League South club Concord Rangers, where he experienced the joy of an FA Cup first round appearance at then League Two Stevenage. Levelling the match in extra-time to take it to penalties. That coming in the same calendar year that had also seen Odei turn out at Wembley Stadium, in the delayed 2020 FA Trophy final. Football League bound Harrogate Town denying them 1-0 late on in an unfortunately empty arena.

A loan to Canvey Island became permanent in 2022 but ended in more shootout heartbreak, as the Gulls lost out to eventual winners Aveley in the Isthmian Premier play-off semi-final, in 2023.
