Biography

(Midfield) A two-footed talent who commenced an already well-travelled career as a teenager with Maidstone United, where he made the Senior squad at the age of seventeen.

Despite not making a first team appearance he was snapped by Leicester City in January 2017 and became a regular in their Academy team. Spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Isthmian North Maldon & Tiptree and scored an impressive eight goals in twenty-eight games.

That led to a move to League Two Colchester United and a debut as a substitute in a September 2020 success against Bolton Wanderers. A full bow arrived ten days later in an EFL tussle with West Ham United U21’s before eventually being released in February ‘21 and joining National South Club Concord Rangers.

The following term saw Sammie line-up for Portadown and pick up the Goal of the Month for November’s cracking volley at Dungannon Swifts. East Sussex was his port of call and a brief spell with Lewes that preceded an emmigration to Iceland and Thor Akureyri back in March of 2022.

Initially known as ‘A Trialist’ in pre-season friendlies at home to Swindon Town and Horsham his true identity was finally revealed at Bognor 29th July.
