Worthing Goalkeeper Lucas Covolan suffers broken arm in today's FA Cup victory at Moneyfields.
In a victorious afternoon for the club, after beating Moneyfields 2-3 to secure our place in the FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying, Worthing’s number 1, Lucas Covolan saw himself coming home in a cast.
In the 74th minute with the score at 3 goals to 1, Covolan heroically beat the Moneyfields striker to the ball in a strong 50/50 on the edge of his box, however, came out worse off after having taken a tough blow to his right arm.
With no Goalkeeper on the subs bench, Joe Clarke stepped up the the task and resumed Goalkeeping duties for the remainder of the game, pulling out some wondrous stops to hold the lead.
This unfortunately keeps the Brazilian in a cast for up to 8 weeks. We wish Lucas a very speedy recovery and hope to see him back in between the sticks in no time.
