Starting out as a Brighton and Hove Albion Under-18, Tutt made his debut for us in our opening pre-season friendly at Selsey and has since turned out against Three Bridges and, most recently, Eastbourne United.

His first appearance in a Seagulls shirt came in an 18’s league game at Southampton in November 2017 but it wasn’t until the following campaign that he became a regular in the side.

He went on to make a further twenty four appearances in 2018-19 and wore the Captain’s armband against Norwich City and Reading.

A senior bow was taken in a loan spell at Isthmian League, Haywards Heath Town, where nine games from March onwards had already been complemented by a previous Man of The Match showing in The Blue’s Sussex RUR Cup Quarter-Final victory at Hassocks, back in December of the previous year. Ended a profitable spell in Mid Sussex by playing in the Final.

Marvin Armstrong also impressed many with his first match in a red ensemble at The Bunn Leisure Stadium a little over ten days ago.

It was his epic solo goal at Three Bridges, however, this past Saturday, where he slalomed his way through a sea of amber and black before finishing with aplomb from just inside the area, that had us all out of our seats.

Already being labelled ‘The New Ajiboye’ by some after that lung-busting effort, it was also in the more humble surroundings of Croydon where this precocious young talent would commence a career in the sport that only took him to play-off chasers, Whyteleafe at the beginning of last term.

One of a number of trialists to be tested at Lancing last Tuesday, Marv’s measured performances so far have lead to a ‘Yes’ from Hinsh, after he showcased his abilities once more in the hot and sticky environs of a match-up with Eastbourne United.
