Captain Racine has been a consistent performer in defence this season, having previously struggled with injuries throughout his time at Woodside Road the former Forest Green Rovers star is enjoying his best season for appearances, making over 40 already.
At the other end of the pitch Pearce has been in scintillating form, hitting 32 goals in the Isthmian League Premier Division, second only to Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrović as the country’s leading scorer of league goals. The prolific front man has 35 in all competitions bringing his total to 76 in just 131 appearances for the club.
Rebels’ boss Adam Hinshelwood expressed his delight over the signing of new contracts for the key pair, describing the decision to re-sign the pair to new contracts as: “a no brainer”.
The Worthing boss also joked about continuing to hear the famous “Aarran at the back, Ollie in attack” chant from the Worthing faithful.
Hinshelwood believes retaining the pair will be a huge boost for the dressing room, not just because of the quality both players possess, but also their experience and leadership. He commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to have not only two fantastic players but two good people with us for at least another year”.
