Robinson Injury Blow

Striker Jake Robinson faces an extended period on the sidelines after a scan revealed he suffered a serious knee injury in the opening day draw with Dover Athletic.

The 34-year-old experienced a lightening start to his Worthing career, giving his new side the lead just five minutes into his competitive debut.

However that joy soon turned to despair shortly into the second half when a seemingly innocuous challenge left him in need of treatment. Despite returning to the field he was replaced by Callum Kealy moments later.

On the advice of a consultant Robinson will have an operation in the next 4-6 weeks but is likely to be missing for the majority of the season.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Jake the best of luck in his recovery and hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.
