Morty died peacefully on Wednesday night, with his family by his side.

Chairman Barry Hunter said “Morty dedicated the vast majority of his life to Worthing Football Club and led us through a significant part of our history. He will be forever remembered by the club and the club will be forever grateful for his dedication and love. Our thoughts are with his daughters Claire and Deborah, son in laws Robin and Alistair and his three grandchildren, Alex, Magnus and Frankie”.

Over the coming weeks the club will celebrate Morty’s life. At our home game tomorrow, Friday 7th April, the men’s first team will wear black armbands and a minutes silence will be observed in Morty’s memory.

Anyone who would like to send cards or messages, they can be sent directly to the football club address at Woodside Road, or by email to info@worthingfc.com.
