Faal is a proven goalscorer at National League South level having played for Havant & Waterlooville and Maidstone United over the past two seasons. In his time with the Hawks, Muhammadu amassed 31 goals in 71 games and was the club’s top scorer in the 2022/23 season, which led to him being awarded with the club’s Player of the Year award.
He moved on loan to Maidstone United for the second half of last season, scoring 7 goals to help the Stones on their way to the play-offs where they were beaten by Worthing in the Semi-Final.
Before his move to the National League South with Havant in 2022. The forward had prolific spells with both Kingstonian and later Enfield, where he scored 24 goals in 25 matches, earning him a move to Bolton Wanderers in January 2020. Following his release from the Wanderers, Faal re-joined Enfield Town where he had his most prolific scoring spell to date, netting 35 goals in 43 matches in the 2021/22 season.
Boss Chris Agutter commented, “We spoke to Mo over the summer but he had the opportunity to move to League One and it’s obviously very difficult to compete with that at the moment but the opportunity has come up to finally bring him to the club and we’d be silly not to take it”.
Faal began his career in the youth team at Chingford-based Ryan before completing a scholarship at Boreham Wood from 2013 to 2015. He then went on to have a short spell in Italy, before returning to the United Kingdom to play in non-league.
Faal’s registration has been completed in time to be available for selection against his former club in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon. He will wear the number 12 shirt for the Rebels.
