Ben Brings Pash-ion Club News 26 September 2019 , 20:31 BST Gareth Nicholas Worthing Manager, Adam Hinshelwood has strengthened his back four with the signing of Chichester City left-back, Ben Pashley. An ever-present in Chi’s impressive start to life in The Isthmian League South East, that has seen them top the table in the early weeks of the season, Ben turned out in green and white as recently as Tuesday. His performance in their FA Cup replay against higher level opposition, in the form of Southern Premier Hartley Wintney, helped to secure another home tie with fellow Step 3 alumni, Enfield Town in two weeks time. The left-footed Pashley swaps a Cup run for the challenge of testing himself at the next level at a club his old boss, ex-Rebels favourite, Miles Rutherford holds fond memories as a mainstay of the team that reached the first round proper twenty years ago. Ben joined The Oaklands Park based side back in 2016, after starting out life in the game at a place that has seen many familiar names play in the distinctive yellow and navy strip of it’s inhabitants. Moneyfields have strong links with a number of our local clubs, with several players having also made their way in football through spells of various lengths with the men from Portsmouth. Wessex League action changed to Southern Combination League fare, where our new recruit enjoyed a title-winning campaign last term and he’ll be eager to prove another upgrade in playing standards won’t faze him either. A left-sided full-back who has bags of energy and a style of play that’s pleasing on the eye, ‘Pash’ also likes joining in the attack; traits that will see him fit ideally into his new clubs’ identity. No slouch off the pitch either, Ben also graduated from Portsmouth University this year.
