It’s been a hugely successful campaign over the summer to progress important developments at The Crucial Environmental Stadium. Our very generous community fundraiser along with a successful Premier League grant application has meant we have been able to Introduce a state of the art LED floodlighting system, a new supporters refreshment and toilet block, upgrade our home changing room and develop a new supporters entrance into the ground, enabling fan segregation, a necessary feature for National league football.

Not forgetting of course the enormous effort by club officials and volunteers to manage the whole programme. The outcome will be a ground that will improve both the visitor and player experience and this work will be completed in September.

Another key upgrade we have been working on is to improve the pitch surface, following a long term dispute with our pitch contractors. We have had fantastic support from FIFA, the FA and the Isthmian league in helping us navigate through a very difficult period. I’m pleased to say that work on the pitch, to rework the sub base and replacing the carpet is due to take place soon. Lockdown has had an inevitable impact on timing so works will take place at the start of the new season. We will be working with all governing bodies to manage every aspect, including some fixtures management following todays publication. Exact timings will be confirmed just as soon as we can. The outcome will be a brand new pitch which we know will make a huge difference again to our players, fans and community users experience. I will bring you more news on timings in the very near future.
