The Reds go into the fixture having had the best possible weekend during their travels to Essex to face Brightlingsea Regent:

A brace from Ollie Pearce and Callum Kealy’s first goal on his loan-return earned a 3-0 win at the Taydal Stadium.

Meanwhile, Enfield Town were held by Reds rivals Bognor Regis 2-2 having led 2-0, meaning Worthing extended their lead at the top to seven points.

Tonight’s hosts Margate are currently 12th in the table, most recently losing 3-1 in their last run-out to Kingstonian on Saturday.

Team news

Jasper Pattenden, Dean Cox, Alex Parsons are all sidelined with injuries, while Cam Tutt is currently ill. However, Diallo is expected to return to training after a spell out with a pulled quad.

Recent meetings

The two sides last met in the short-lived campaign of 2020-21 in October of last year at Hartsdown Park:

Margate opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Richard Afrane-Kesey, but goals from Mo Diallo and Ricky Aguiar on the stroke of half time turned the game on its head.

Dajon Golding added a third nine minutes into the second half as Worthing cruised to a 3-1 victory.
